WASTE AS THE BASIS FOR NEW BUSINESS GIFTS

During the production of consumer goods, waste product is generated. This waste can be thrown away or incinerated, but it can also be reused and processed as a raw material for new products. In the Netherlands alone, more than 250 million kilograms of coffee grounds are left over after making coffee. Historically, most of this waste ended up in an incinerator. Now, these coffee grounds are being used as the perfect raw material for making a sustainable alternative to plastic. Coffee grounds are now collected from cafes and restaurants and dried at special locations ready to be used again. Apple leather is a plant-based alternative to leather. It is created during a special process. 1.4 kilos of apples are needed to make 1 litre of apple juice. After the juicing process, the skin, core and pulp remain. This waste product is dried and ground and then made into apple leather with a mix of PU, polyester and cotton. This innovative process is both sustainable and vegan. Apple leather originates from Italy. In the Netherlands, as part of a social apprenticeship company, beautiful products are made from apple leather. The result? A SECOND LIFE FOR USED PRODUCTS

Many of you will be familiar with PET bottles and know that these bottles pollute the oceans and landfill sites. That is why these bottles are collected and recycled (RPET) to serve as raw materials for a huge number of products. It is a great alternative to using virgin plastic. There are many materials that are recycled and given a second life. For example, old clothing and textiles in combination with RPET become the basis of RPET felt. You will find bags made of this material in our collection. Even parts of old white goods are reused to make card holders and the most beautiful hammam towels are woven from recycled cotton. By choosing recycled products you are showing the world that you make conscious choices when it comes to promoting your brand.
